Introduction

The Independent Funeral Directors Assoc Australia Incorporated was formed over a decade ago.

The philosophy behind the forming of this association was simple, to represent the best interests of both family owned funeral homes and the public when dealing with changes to our industry.

These changes would come from industry driven forces and also possible government regulation that may have been fuelled by large corporate funeral businesses.

Our members work together to ensure that the families we are called to serve receive the best possible standard of service at the most realistic cost.

Our Father, grant me the knowledge to wisely counsel the grieving people I serve.

Grant me the skill to professionally care for their loved ones who have died.

Grant me the sensitivity and awareness to understand the depth of their pain and sorrow.

Grant me the strength to care without my heart breaking, so I can be of help.

And yes God, grant me a sense of humour so at the appropriate time and in a sensitive way, I can give these mourners a moments rest.
